Manchester Central Library UPDATE - THE OLD & THE NEW

If you get a chance, check out the newly refurbished and reopened Manchester Central Library. It reopened to the public today & it's a very impressive mix of refurbished original feature and new design.

Tomorrow I'm playing the first hour or so at Erase The Tapes, taking place upstairs at The Bridge on (no surprises  Bridge Street in central Manchester. It's a nice little intimate do, friends playing records, no pretence, big guests or queues.  It's free in & starts around 9pm going on til 2-ish (flyer below)

I'll be playing a pretty mellow early set, probs with a few records from this recent mixtape - for a sense of the later on soundtrack, check out this ace mix on a more house & techno thing, by another of the resident DJs, Isey:

So if you're ever up in Northumberland and have a few hours spare make sure you check out Barter Books. An Alnwick institution & located in a converted railway station, it's home to 1000s of second hand books. You're welcome to browse the books over coffees, spend all day & generally enjoy the atmosphere. Well worth a visit...
