SAVE SOUTHBANK | HOME OF LONDON SKATEBOARDING | #LLSB

Passed through Southbank whilst in London the other day - since the early 1970s it's been the hub of London and therefore, to a certain extent, UK skateboarding and is still going strong. You'll know (or you should do) about the campaign to save Southbank, from the ongoing march of soul crushing modern city developers but if you've not signed their petition or become a supporting member yet, do so here.

INSIDE PALACE OF WESTMINSTER | LONDON

Was at House Of Commons this week, initially to collect an Enterprising Britain Award for The Sharp Project then went back later for a tour and dinner in the Strangers Dining Room.

VICTORIA BATHS | LONGSIGHT | SWIMMING IN HERITAGE

For the last few days Victoria Baths in Longsight have taken part in the national programme of Heritage Open Days, opportunities for the public to tour buildings they wouldn't usually get access.

"Victoria Baths is a Grade II* listed building,situated in the Chorlton-upon-Medlock area of Manchester, in northwest England. The Baths opened to the public in 1906 and cost £59,144 to build. Manchester City Council closed the baths in 1993 and the building was left derelict. A multi-million pound restoration project began in 2007.

As of 2009, the building is on English Heritage's Heritage at Risk Register"

ERASE THE TAPES | THIS FRIDAY | THE EAGLE SALFORD

This Friday ERASE THE TAPES returns to Salford's best late night venue - The Eagle Inn for an end of summer intimate session of electronic music.

The party takes place in their amazing live room (the soundsystem is near perfect) - I'm doing the slo mo warm up thing early on (this kind of stuff) then stepping up will be:

Bit of an overview on the night:

"Fresh from our storming 1st birthday celebrations in July, Erase The Tapes is back with another party to close out the summer with a bang. This month we are pleased to announce that William Welt will be joining the regular ETT resident DJ's. Welt is the alias of Newcastle born, Manchester based producer and DJ William Reed.

After setting up his own label 22 Digit Records in 2008, releasing uncompromising House and Techno, Welt's music career has really taken off and we are very excited to have booked him to play at ETT. Also joining us will be Dlamit and A.K.P, an up and coming duo who have been big on the underground scene over the past 2 years"
